1. IRCTC Indian Railways
It’s almost hard to find any Indian who is not aware of IRCTC website, the most popular website in India. IRCTC website is used to book rail tickets online, check ticket status, make journey itinerary and many more citizen services.
When launched in 2002, IRCTC website hardly managed to sell more than 30 tickets in a day. But today, it sells more than around 1000 tickets per minute, which Indian Government plans to increase upto 5000 tickets per minute.
As per industry estimates, out of total tickets sold by Indian Railways, 50% of tickets are booked online using IRCTC and almost more than 6 lakh tickets are booked per day. IRCTC website is most popularly known for Tatkal Booking. Tatkal Booking is a kind of emergency ticket booking under short period. Tatkal Booking starts exactly 24 hours (one day) in advance from the date of journey, excluding the day of journey. Tatkal Booking starts at sharp 10 am in the morning.
The IRCTC website has bagged many prestigious awards such as National Award for E-Governance, National Tourism Award of Excellence, Genius of the Web Award and many more.
The website is managed by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, an Indian Railway subsidiary. IRCTC as a authority is responsible for catering, tourism and online ticket booking for Indian railways.
IRCTC also sells I-tickets, tickets which are booked online but delivered by post at your door step. Last year IRCTC also launched SMS based ticket booking for Indian passengers.

Government of India has launched many citizen schemes that can be only used if you have an Aadhaar number. Aadhaar is linked to your existing bank account and all rebates and subsidies are directly sent to your bank account.
Aadhaar is a proof of identity and one of the most promising e-governance program that aims to resolve many problems.
The Aadhaar is managed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and established in January 2009.

Election Commission of India (ECI) as a government authority is responsible for managing every single task related to India elections – administering elections (national and state) and managing electrol database, registration of political parties, enacting code of conduct, etc.
Indians can search their name in the existing electrol roll or apply for a new one. They can also amend their existing voter-id card.

In this website you can get any information related to Govt and any public information under Right to Information (RTI) act. In this site you can ask, see status and View the answer to your query. This is the one site where you can file for any information with regards to the welfare of the country and its citizens.
